- Collard Greens2 bunches
- Smoked Turkey Leg1 large
- Yellow Onion1 large
- Garlic Cloves4 cloves
- Chicken Broth4 cups
- Apple Cider Vinegar2 tbsp

Method

Wash collard greens thoroughly. Remove tough stems and chop leaves into bite-sized pieces.

In a large pot, sauté diced onion and garlic in olive oil until softened. Add smoked turkey leg.

Add chicken broth, apple cider vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Bring to a boil.

Add collard greens in batches as they wilt down. Cover and simmer on low for 75-90 minutes until very tender.

Remove turkey leg, shred the meat, and stir it back in. Season with salt and pepper. Serve with cornbread.
