- Breakfast Sausage (mild), bulk or removed from casings1 lb
- All-Purpose Flour2 1/4 cups
- Whole Milk2 1/2 cups
- Unsalted Butter, cold and cubed6 tbsp
- Baking Powder1 tbsp
- Salt1 tsp
- Black Pepper, coarsely ground1 tsp
Method

Preheat oven to 425°F. Make drop biscuits: mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in cold butter until crumbly. Stir in milk until just combined.

Drop biscuit dough by large spoonfuls onto a lined baking sheet, 8 biscuits total. Bake 12-14 minutes until golden.

While biscuits bake, brown sausage in a large skillet over medium heat, breaking into small crumbles. Do not drain the fat.

Sprinkle flour over the sausage. Stir for 1 minute until flour is absorbed.

Pour in milk gradually, stirring constantly. Keep stirring until gravy thickens to a creamy consistency, about 5 minutes.
