Buttered Rice Pilaf
Long-grain white rice toasted in butter with onion and garlic, then cooked in chicken broth. Not instant rice. Not plain white rice. This version has real flavor and is the side dish that actually pairs well with the proteins in your weekly plan rather than just filling space on the plate.

Parent noteUniversally accepted. More flavor than plain rice, still plain-tasting enough for picky eaters. Contains gluten if using regular broth; use gluten-free broth to keep it gf.
