Ingredients

  • Elbow Macaroni8 oz
  • Ground Beef (80/20)1 lb
  • Yellow Onion, diced1/2 medium
  • Garlic Powder1 tsp
  • Onion Powder1/2 tsp
  • Paprika1 tsp
  • Mustard Powder1/2 tsp
  • All-Purpose Flour2 tbsp
  • Whole Milk1 1/2 cups
  • Beef Broth1/2 cup
  • Sharp Cheddar Cheese, shredded1 1/2 cups
  • American Cheese Slices4 slices

Method

  1. 01

    Cook elbow macaroni in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.

    In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown ground beef with diced onion, breaking into crumbles, about 6 minutes. Drain excess fat.

    Add garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, mustard powder, salt, and pepper to the beef. Stir for 30 seconds.

    Sprinkle flour over the beef and stir 1 minute. Pour in milk and beef broth. Stir and bring to a simmer. Cook until sauce thickens, about 4 minutes.

    Remove from heat. Stir in shredded cheddar and American cheese until melted and smooth. Fold in cooked macaroni.

    Serve immediately, topped with a sprinkle of parsley if desired.
