Ingredients

  • Penne Pasta16 oz
  • Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast, diced1 lb
  • Bacon6 slices
  • Butter2 tbsp
  • All-Purpose Flour2 tbsp
  • Whole Milk1 1/2 cups
  • Chicken Broth1/2 cup
  • Ranch Seasoning Mix1 packet (1 oz)
  • Mozzarella Cheese, shredded2 cups

Method

  1. 01

Preheat oven to 375°F. Cook penne in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain.

  2. 02

Cook bacon in a skillet until crispy. Transfer to paper towels and crumble. Reserve 1 tbsp drippings.

  3. 03

Season diced chicken with salt and pepper. Cook in the reserved drippings over medium-high heat until golden and cooked through, about 6 minutes. Remove and set aside.

  4. 04

In the same skillet, melt butter. Whisk in flour and cook 1 minute. Gradually whisk in milk and chicken broth. Cook until thickened, about 4 minutes. Stir in ranch seasoning mix.

  5. 05

Remove from heat. Stir in half the mozzarella. Fold in pasta, chicken, and half the bacon.

  6. 06

Transfer to a greased baking dish. Top with remaining mozzarella and bacon. Bake 20 minutes until bubbly. Let rest 5 minutes.
