Pat pork chops completely dry. Season generously with salt and pepper on both sides.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.

Add pork chops. Cook undisturbed 4-5 minutes until deep golden brown. Flip and cook 3-4 more minutes until internal temperature hits 145F.

Transfer chops to a plate and rest while you make the sauce.

In the same pan over medium heat, add garlic and cook 30 seconds. Add chicken broth and scrape up all the browned bits from the pan.

Simmer broth 2-3 minutes until slightly reduced. Remove from heat, swirl in butter until melted and sauce is glossy.
