Ingredients

  • Cavatappi or Elbow Macaroni16 oz
  • Pre-Made Pulled Pork1 lb
  • BBQ Sauce1/2 cup
  • Butter3 tbsp
  • All-Purpose Flour3 tbsp
  • Whole Milk2 1/2 cups
  • Sharp Cheddar Cheese, shredded1 1/2 cups
  • Pepper Jack Cheese, shredded1 cup
  • Smoked Paprika1/2 tsp
  • French Fried Onions1 cup

Method

  1. 01

    Preheat oven to 375°F. Cook cavatappi or elbow macaroni in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain.

    Warm the pulled pork in a small saucepan with BBQ sauce over medium-low heat. Keep warm.

    In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook 1 minute. Gradually whisk in milk. Cook until thickened, about 4 minutes.

    Remove from heat. Stir in cheddar, pepper jack, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until smooth. Fold in cooked pasta.

    Transfer mac and cheese to a greased baking dish. Top with pulled pork and crispy fried onions.

    Bake 20 minutes until bubbly. Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
