Ultimate Grilled Cheese
Sourdough bread buttered on the outside, filled with a combination of sharp cheddar and gruyere, cooked low and slow until the bread is golden and the cheese is completely melted. This is the version of grilled cheese that adults eat with the same enthusiasm as kids. Serve with tomato soup from the catalog.

Parent noteThis works for all ages. Medium-low heat is the trick; high heat burns the bread before the cheese melts. Sourdough has a slight tang adults appreciate; use plain white bread for younger kids who might notice the difference. Contains gluten and dairy.
